The surgical fellow follows the patient from the initial assessment through the decision-making process for both elective and emergency admissions. At the time of hospital discharge, the fellow also formulates follow-up plans.

Home care and discharge planning are essential contributors to patient outcomes. To help with care coordination and follow-up, the Division of Pediatric Surgery’s advanced practice providers provide care to children in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The pediatric surgical office is on the 1st floor of the Medical Office Center (suite 190). This building is physically connected to Hasbro Children's Hospital and a short walking distance from Women and Infants Hospital.
